VAV Group is preparing to extend into new facilities in the municipality of Ii. To Jarkko Peuhkuri, CEO of V.A.V. Group, it became clear early on, that they would soon need more production capacity and time for the production lines. The new extension will guarantee that their fast and flexible service can improve and develop with the rest of the company. “We’ve been aware for several years that our current facilities and production capacity aren’t enough for us,” says Peuhkuri regarding the new facilities, where they are expecting to move into by the autumn of 2022.
New production lines and improved spaces for employees
The move into the larger industrial facility has been planned for the coming summer. To put all of the new space to good use, they are adding two production lines for their profile manufacturing, bringing a highly anticipated boost to their production and service capacities. The two new lines will produce silicone and TPE profiles. With the new facilities, V.A.V. Group can go on to manufacture more profiles with new and more demanding designs.
Along with the new production lines, the extension will have new office- and social spaces to fit V.A.V. Group’s growing needs. When the new production lines have been installed in the extended facility, current lines will be moved over, and the new facility will be ready to begin production.
Improvements to the production and service quality
The move into the new facility has been long-awaited, and it ensures that V.A.V. Group can continue offering their services with new and improved quality, with the same two-week supply times. With the new production lines, the production of intricate and developed profiles will be even more energy-efficient and productive than before.
The extension is also important for the workers, who will have to deal with less physical strain in their work.
