How many spruce trees’ average annual carbon sequestration does this emission saving correspond to?
The comparison is based on an example from the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) for a spruce tree in southern Finland. According to Luke, an 80-year-old spruce has sequestered about 1,500 kg of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
